Hope…
Counting down the days till Montreal, Nairobi
Drooling over the menu at Pêche Pêche, Mesquite
Dreams of a kiss long delayed
Imagining my grandfather’s face on a hot January day
Cheering on dear ones in the August house race
Bliss…
Managing (against all odds) to get your friend on the same 23 hour flight
Knowing that almost all your friends will be witnesses to your exchange of vows
Discovering that your father is the coolest dad a fiancé could face
Figuring out to ship your excess baggage as freight
Finding out the title of the song from the radio
Wonder…
Seeing in pictures: the beauty and mystery of babies
Realizing that you are loved by aunts and uncles…that you love them too
People paying $15,000 to eat Matumbo and fried camel with ‘Baba Jimmy’
Serenity…
Not sweating the loss of your watch down the toilet bowl (don’t ask)
Knowing that after almost 30 years you are still standing, still here
Being loved uncomplicatedly
Life…
The crisp, wintry air
Family
Music, books, food, laughter
Love
Listening to (as I write this): ‘Everything’, Call Me Irresponsible, Michael Bublé

I see a girl is looking forward to tying the knot.
I will say it again, Love makes the world go round. Enjoy every single moment. And document each feeling. You will need to re-analyze one day…Here’s to love!

Hi Mwari! Now that the days are getting closer and closer, it’s more of a reality that I’m really doing it. A lot of good things have happened lately, so I’m on an ‘ain’t life grand!’ high at the moment, and enjoying every minute.

@ Gish…thanks! I hope that I’ll be able to ‘report live from the scene’ once I get there (I’ve noticed many bloggers return to Nairobi and their blogs suffer [EGM cough cough].
@ Catso! I can’t wait! 22 days is not enough I tell you…but we’ll make the best of it! So many celebrations so little time…
